Community (Tribal) Advisors Oklahoma City During the initial Tribal community content development process, many themes, ideas, messages and stories emerged. This group of cultural leaders worked closely with Dr. Don Fixico to integrate cross-cultural ideas into a conceptual infrastructure and strategic outline so that the architects, Johnson Fain/Hornbeek Blatt, and Hargreaves Associates, Landscape Architects, could incorporate these principles into the design process.
Ongoing collaborative, community-based participation and decision-making regarding the meanings and messages continue to infuse the project with cultural relevance. During the current phase of work, participants from various American Indian communities in Oklahoma have advanced the content and curatorial ideas to a level of completion.
