Gena Timberman
Executive Director

Gena Timberman was appointed to the Native American Cultural & Educational Authority (NACEA) in December 1999.  She currently serves as the Executive Director for the NACEA, the state agency developing the American Indian Cultural Center & Museum. Gena graduated from the University of Oklahoma College of Law in May 1999 and is a member of the Oklahoma Bar Association and the Federal Bar of the Western District of Oklahoma. Gena received her B.A. degree in English with Honors from Oklahoma State University in 1996.  As President of the Native American Student Association, she received the Outstanding Contribution to the Native American Community Award.

She is the founding President of the OSU American Indian Alumni Association, and serves on the Oklahoma Indian Affairs Commission, member of the Board of Directors of the Oklahoma Museums Association, member of the City of Oklahoma City Core to Shore Steering Committee, member of the Oklahoma Tourism Promotion Advisory Committee, the Oklahoma Health Center Foundation Board of Trustees, Board of Directors of the American Heart Association, Red Cross of Central Oklahoma, the Oklahoma Academy, the Arts Council of Oklahoma City and serves as an advisor to the Board of Directors of Wings of America, a National American Indian Youth Development Program of The Earth Circle Foundation, Inc.

Ms. Timberman is a member of the Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma.
