Since our inception in 1989, Nabih Youssef & Associates has become an internationally recognized structural engineering firm. We provide our clients with specialized structural and earthquake engineering consulting for new and existing buildings for civic, educational, high tech, commercial and residential projects. NYA has significantly contributed to the development of Earthquake Engineering Codes and Standards, seismic base isolation, and value-engineered strengthening concepts. We are a team of academics: highly qualified engineers, designers and analysts, experts with the latest building codes and standards performing advanced research and analysis. Many of our engineers, including Mr. Youssef, have served on reconnaissance teams for damage evaluation after major earthquakes, both in the U.S. and abroad.
Three projects of note are J. Paul Getty Museum Villa in Malibu, CA, the Los Angeles County Museum of Art and the Cleveland Museum of Art.
