Oklahoma

The OERB has represented the very best of the oil and gas industry in Oklahoma since 1994. Funded by voluntary contributions from our producers and royalty owners, the OERB restores orphaned and abandoned well sites across the state. In addition, the OERB provides energy-related curricula, teacher training and educational materials to Oklahoma schools at no cost. Three recent project of note are the Tallgrass Prairie, 6,000th abandoned well site and the 7,000th abandoned well site.

The OERB's restoration activities for the AICCM consisted of removing concrete slabs, engine pads, foundations, piers, rig corners, flowlines, sucker rods, drilling cable, and deadmen/helical anchors from 10+ sites. The OERB transported that material offsite to a reclaimer/recycler. The OERB also performed additional grading, seeding, and fertilizing.
